P15 MPG Select Car Care Program

Highlights:
This program should be performed upon customer request, to ensure that the
reimbursement process is initiated by the customer on their requested timing
Upon customer request, verify that the VIN qualifies for this program If the
VIN qualifies, create a P15 MPG Select Car Care RO with customer signature
to document mileage, and submit your P15 MPG Select Car Care claim as timely
as possible Remind your customer that they will also need to register for
the program, if they have not already done so Unlike other Select Car Care
programs, P15 applies to the qualified VIN for as long as the eligible
customer owns the vehicle. When a P15 MPG Select Car Care claim is submitted
and approved, the P15 will show as completed until the reimbursement to the
customer has been approved. At that time, P15 MPG Select Car Care will
re-open for that VIN. This cycle will continue for as long as the eligible
customer owns the vehicle.

Background:
Procedural errors at joint Hyundai/Kia testing operations overstated the
fuel economy ratings of certain vehicles. Working with the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency, the test processes have been corrected. At
the same time, Hyundai has put in place a program to reimburse owners of
affected vehicles for additional fuel costs incurred to date, and in the
future.
This reimbursement program will remain in place for as long as the impacted
customer owns the vehicle. The reimbursement amount will be based on the
number of miles driven and the average fuel price in the customer’s area. As
an acknowledgement of the inconvenience this has caused, we will also add an
extra 15 percent to the reimbursements, that will remain in effect for as
long as the impacted customer owns the vehicle.
Certain Hyundai Retail Owners qualify for the P15 MPG Select Car Care
Program. Please note that this program should be performed upon customer
request.
